Toastmasters District 99 Online Club Officer Training, August 10 2020

Congratulations on your election to serve as a club officer in the 2020-2021 program year.​

The District Leadership Team invites you to attend the online Club officer training designed to help you fulfil your mandate successfully and to expand your leadership capacity.

The current COVID-19 crisis has been unprecedented and leading your clubs in this time of uncertainty requires a different type of skillset and mindset. This session has been designed to equip you with those skillset and mindset shift you will require to lead your club successfully in these strange times.

The day will start off with a 3-part plenary session with presentations on the principles of club leadership success, Agile Leadership: the adaptive mindset for leading through a crisis, and how to build a healthy team for a thriving hybrid club during and after the pandemic crisis. Club officers will then attend their virtual breakout sessions where trainers will engage attendees in a session for understanding their role and available resources.

There will also be an orientation session that introduces you to how to develop your club’s success plan for the 2020-2021 program year and to the tools and resources available for you to be effective in your role.

Who should attend?

• All elected club officers for the 2020-2021 program year
• Members aspiring to become club officers
• Members looking to attend the event and claim credits towards their professional development requirements.

Why attend training?

• When you attend training, you are conducting yourself in the alignment of Toastmaster’s core value of integrity – Elected officers are required to receive training so that they can deliver quality service to the club members who elected them;
• Gain new ideas on leadership and club administration to strengthen the quality of your club and contribute to a richer member experience;
• Share your experience and learn from other officers who previously have performed in the role;
• Connect with your district leaders and other toastmasters who can be resources for questions, club activities and presentations;
• Help your club gain credit towards becoming distinguished.

This event is eligible for 2 Professional Development Units (PDUs) to apply towards your professional designation status maintenance
